Project Background
DAVID involves the development of an intelligent mobile laboratory with cleanroom conditions and energy self-sufficiency, designed for the production of biocidal cleaning products for surfaces and skin. These products are developed from recycled oils and are intended to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Soltec Ingenieros’ Role
Our team at Soltec Ingenieros, together with our spin-off company Versa Real Projects as partners in the construction of the modular laboratory container, is responsible for:
- Designing and developing a modular and mobile laboratory.
- Investigating the feasibility of achieving energy self-sufficiency for the modular laboratory through renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic systems.
- Equipping the modular laboratory with intelligent monitoring and control systems to analyze and manage the environmental conditions of its different compartments.
- Developing a methodology to assess the complete life cycle of a sustainable industrialized modular building using Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Performing the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the sustainable industrialized modular laboratory.
- Developing a digital management platform for the laboratory.
