Project context
A major renewable energy project of the Department of Energy (DoE) of the South African Republic. The 50 MW concentrated solar thermal power plant, built in the vicinity of the Kalahari Desert, has magnificent solar and environmental conditions. Being an electricity generation project, it was necessary to design and calculate the electrical installations for the assembly, work and operation areas.

- Facilities divided into north and south zones, including all operational parts of the plant.
Added Value
- We’ve carried out the detailed engineering based on the South Africa National Standards (SANS), in a climatic context of desert zone and based on the client’s requirements.
- The Bookport solar thermal power plant celebrated another great production record of 21.7 GWh at the end of 2020.
